“THE CADEBY ” Vintage Oak  Original 1920’s/1930’s Fireplace Fender Z7

This original fender is solid oak with a metal cladding on the inside face giving better heat resistance – offered unrestored as seen

Features a Plain curb with a nice moulding around the base and an arched centre section with mitred corners.

I have photographed it from various angles and included a shot of the back so you can get a feel of the style and condition

Sizes –

Internal Sizes – 39″/990mm Wide x 11″/280mm Deep

External Sizes – 42″/1070mm x 12.5″/322mm Deep

The Curb is approx 4″ high with the centre approx 5.5″ high.

Condition is good for its age, would benefit from having the corners tightened as the mitres are opening up a little, but useable as it is.

Similarly the metal cladding is a little loose in places and could do with a few more tacks to hold it securely in place….

This is a quite a large item, needs a hatchback/estate or van to collect.

Price as seen £90.

If we were to send this to a local french polisher we would expect it to fetch about £300 restored.
