Large Edwardian Mantle – Painted finish, probably mahogany underneath.
Price £95
Features include fluted jambs, dentil moulding under shelf, and panels in head.
Offered in unrestored condition, it has some scratches, marks and dinks (see photos) Definitely needs refinishing by a specialist restorer, it would not be useable in its current state.
In addition there are some parts of the moulding details that are missing and damage to both ends of the mantle shelf.
Perfect for “spares or repair” as it requires major refurbishment before being useable, this is a project for someone with woodworking skills.
The price reflect the current condition.
Restored, in nice condition it would cost over £1,000.
