Offered for sale is a pair of decorative steel gates featuring the numbers \u201c41\u201d on one gate and \u201c43\u201d on the other, these numbers could obviously be removed by the new purchaser if their street number varied…..<\/p>\n
These gates have a decorative centre panel and plainer bars flanking it, topped with an ornate swirl motif.<\/p>\n
In generally good condition, they are useable as they stand but they would definitely benefit from a good wire brushing and a new coat of paint. The bottoms of the gates have more rust on them than the tops.<\/p>\n
Please look at the photos carefully to ascertain the condition of the gates, as they form a vital part of the description.<\/p>\n
There is a central handle on one gate, and a drop bolt on the other, they would need to be freed up before use.<\/p>\n
No additional hardware comes with the gates, only what is shown in the photos. Most DIY or hardware shops can provide fixing kits for gates, or a local foundry could make up whatever fittings you require to use the gates in your particular scenario.<\/p>\n
The size suggests a possible use as driveway gates, but some of our clients have used gates like these to make a backdrop for climbing plants or make a feature against a plain wall.Measurements –<\/p>\n
