STUNNING PERIOD SOLID OAK MANTLEPIECE ” THE WINDSOR LION ”

We believe this mantle is Mid 19th Century hand carved English Oak.

It features an egg and dart motif around the outside edge and under the lower shelf with carved corbels supporting the upper shelf (the corbel carvings are different on either side).

The fireplace opening is flanked by roaring lions and again each side is different, above which there are niches with small shelves.

It has recently been renovated and rebuilt from behind so is now in very good condition and ready for installing.

Please note the opening is ENORMOUS and would not fit a standard back panel or iron insert. It is also very tall (almost 2m).
