“THE WITLEY” 53” ORIGINAL VINTAGE LEADED CAST IRON VICTORIAN FIREPLACE MANTLE SURROUND

Stylish Victorian graphite/leaded iron mantle with a taller than standard opening, leading us to believe it was originally used around a kitchen range.
Featuring a central frieze geometric pattern & flowers to either side, this is a very nice unusual mantle.

The top shelf is missing, originally probably iron or wood, it would be relatively straightforward to replace.
As stonemasons, our preference would be to make a new top shelf/mantle in black slate, which would cost between £120 – £250 dependant on requirements.
This is NOT included in the price of the mantle but could be discussed with the new purchaser if required.
The mantle dismantles to 3 pieces making collection easier than usual.
Offered in restored condition, it has some marks in keeping with its age (see photos)
